Survey of U.S. Law provides an introduction to the various issues, actors, institutions, and processes that form the U.S. legal system.  The first semester covers basic principles of law, government, and the legal process.  After building a firm foundation of general legal principles, the second semester explores general areas of law: constitutional law, torts, criminal law, and property.
